Clan Meeting !

It is long overdue to have a meeting of our guild. Not all of us know each other and even I, the leader, did not meet everyone.

To change this we will hold a meeting on this Friday. Startpoint is outside the frontgate of Ogrimmar at 21:00. We then will march through the city, demonstrating our might and strenght.
I still have to inspect some places for the meeting,I am open for suggestions.

1. Introduction
- about the clan, what we stand for, what we fight for..

2. Presentation
- I ask everyone to hold a short speech about himself. If you
allready have developed a background..this your time to tell us.
If not, just say something about your plans your expectations..
The idea is to introduce ourself to each other(Class/Profession/..)

3. Ranks
- time for promotions/demotions

4. Open discussion
- Ranksystem improvement
- Orc only clan?
- Recruiting
- Ideas for events
- whatever you think should be discussed....

5. Fun
- not forget to bring some bottles of Cidur/Ale
- duelling ?

Is the time 21:00 GMT? I'm asking because I'm running a D&D game on Friday and it will last to about 20-21 GMT, so I may be a bit late. Can it be moved an hour or at least 30 mins forward?

I was planing for 21:00 CET -> 20:00 GMT. So if no one complain we move it to 21:30 GMT. This is 1.5 hour later than the announcement in the ingame message, I will update it in the evening.

A friend of mine has a live gig on friday so i'm away all evening. I have to catch someone of you on saturday for the most importent information. If you need my opinions in any question, then I can post them here on the forum instead or talk to Lahzag directly next time I meet him/you.

We will spread the outcome of the meeting on this board. So you will just miss the chance to meet all the others and do some socializing.

I plan to have a guild event on a fixed day/time every week. This can be for going on hunts/quests/raids together. Which day of the week we should choose I will ask on Friday.

The problem we currently have is, that we are spread over the map. In UO we had the fort or Nohkmahr. In WoW we also have to find a place, maybe Crossroads.

I'd advise against Crossroads, as it's quite heavily populated at the best of times and can get laggy...

Shazza will be there (assuming I'm not involved in a RL 'clan' meeting in a local public house at the time, it being Friday night and all that ;))

I just want to inform you about some of the decisions we made during this meeting.

1. How to promote from Peon to Grunt?

A Peon needs the voice of two Grunts to be promoted. So it is a good idea for him to take part on huntings/trips etc. Then the Peon can approach me/or a Nob and ask for promotion. I will ask around the guild if there are at least two Grunts supporting this.

2. Cows, Trolls and Undeads

Undeads, not to be trusted. Will never be able to join the guild.

Trolls. Might be of some use for us. Can take part on trips. Joining the clan? I am not sure.

Cows. To be trusted. If we find one worth joining our ranks, we will try.


The meeting went quite well. We marched from the main entrance into the city and further visit Thrall. We were marching slowly which was quite a show. Lots of players stoped what they were doing and watched us with big eyes. Some joined us marching. Was a great feeling. We have to do this again wearing our tabards.

One question:
I would like to establish a "Clan day" in the week. Where all meet and do something together. What day of the week would be good for you? Middle of the week? End of the week?

Maybe hold it once every other week? I think it might be rushed when held every week or not enough happening to motivate coming to the meeting.

And friday was good, although could probably make it an other days as well.

Doesnt have to be a full blow meeting. I was just thinking to have a fixed date to meet and do something together. If necessary this can be a meeting to discuss clan problems, but most of the time it will be a trip.

Wasnt Kashh asking for a Gnomeragan trip for today?
