Well, just to write it down in case we are able to recruit new players interested in roleplay...

As roleplayers trying to establish an orc clan in World of Warcraft, choosing a proper name for your character is of high importance. I highly recommend reading Blizzard's background fiction for the game, there are quite a few orc names mentioned there.

Personally, I prefer dark, sinister names, ending in -osh, -ash or -esh. Usually, a -gh(-) or -kh(-) spices things up as well.

Just a few examples for orc names: Mogresh, Gorkhag, Zulbakh, Nagrosh, Makhash, Torbash, Lazhogh and so on.

Names should be kept simple since it helps alot when sending /tell and so on. Beginning a name with a capital letter is a must, of course, and this should be the only capital letter within the name as well (although Blizzards name policing is harsh on that anyway, I think).

Comments, improvements, additional insights? ;)

The Shadowclan (an american guild) has put up a useful orcish language reference as well as an over extensive list of suggestions for orcish names that can be found here:

Even if you prefer to make up your name on your own it can be a good source of inspiration.

As with elven names, I recommend Barrow Downs generator. Besides creating cool names, it offers uniqueness, since you need to put your real name in first to get a result. ;)

Depending on what exactly I put (last name, first name + last name, first name etc.) I got:

Razhburz the Dirty
Gâbdreg the Abominable
Olburz the Horrible
Mauuk the Smasher and
Gorlok the Tough

All do not sound half bad. }(

Yeah, most of this stuff is standard Shadowclan Blah. I will have a hard time if we decide to speak different from that. ;)

Well, roleplay in WoW will definitely be different from UO. So why bring some artificial language into the game if there already are orc words we know?

It will be difficult for me as well, but it will definitely be "more right" than using Tolkien's black speech...

And it's 10 gold for the guild (maybe confused with tabards which are 1g or all members paying 1 gold for guild creation)
