Same here - and it looks like a long day at work. :/

Btw, is there no CD key with the game? I cannot find it anywhere (no slip of paper or not on the cover of the manual), so I am wondering if there is none (which could be the case, since you pay per play anyway) or is my copy somehow screwed.

Btw, I got the Horde box. :)

You definitely need a CD key type thing to create your account.

Mine was a sticker on the front of my manual, but that was the collector's edition manual which is different to the normal edition I think.

Look under Disk 3 - You'll find it stuck to the inside of the plastic cover ;)

Hurry up and get your orc sorted Mart! :)

Don't worry - I feel your pain too.

I tormented myself with a couple of hours play in the wee hours of the morning and I'm now clock watching until I can get out of work this evening.

Touch wood, Shazgrim will be stalking prey on Argent Dawn from 5pm GMT :)

I got it, stuck at work, too.

That didn't stop me running home, getting my activation key, registering and creating some chars from my work laptop though... ;)

I believe that's the plan based on one of the pinned forum topics. Having said that, I have covered my bases by creating Shazgrim on both English RP servers; Argent Dawn and Earthen Ring. ;)

The main reason I wanted to register and log on as early as I could was to snaffle my target character names as quickly as possible! }(

No need to hurry home... the account creation pages are down due to various technical problems and a general overload. This means all of us who haven't created an account yet will have to wait for x hours before we can sign up and play.

At home finally, and now both the signup page an the europe WoW site are DOWN!

Sounds just like the problems that occurred last night... Took them over an hour to get the site working again...

When I first attempted to register, at midnight, the pages weren't secure which meant you couldn't see the 'security picture'.

After about 15 minutes the pages started loading as secure, but despite the page now showing the 'security pcture', I still couldn't get past page the second stage...

Then the pages just wouldn't load, so at about 00:40 - cursing French technicians - I threw in the towel and went to bed...

Eventually, at about 1:15, I got woken up by a text from a friend who had successfully registered. I attempted registering again and all was well...

Except... I then had to endure a 40Mb patch download!

Hmmm...I thought Iīd describe the view when i got to the gamestore - but I donīt have the energy...lets just say it was very crowded. ;-)

Got my copy now. :-)

Due to the heavy load on the system, we are therefore forced to take those pages down temporarily. While the pages are down, those players who have already created an account can continue playing the game.
