So did anyone from here actually get into the beta?

I see they've gone down the road of segregation too with US / European servers.... *sighs*

I find it disappointing, Blizzard are one of the few companies who in the past have managed world wide release dates. It seems like they have dropped the ball for WoW though. Probably due to server population issues on release day, but it is still not cricket.

So the US gets the game on the 23rd November, and as of yet there is no EU release date....

I'm already annoyed, and I've not even tried the game yet :) Oh well, just living up to my generations claim to fame. Yes, I have a patience span that can be compared to the lifetime of a muon neutrino.

Started playing in the US Open Beta today. Aquired the account from Blizzard by using a proxy while a mate did already download the client and copied it for me (2.5 GB, uses more than 3 GB on harddisk after installation).

I didn't really dig through the forums before so I quite don't know what I am doing ... *winks*. Then again that's the real fun isn't it? I am currently running and gunning around on server Eastern 19 with a dwarf hunter. And already loving it! It's even more toonish than I expected, yet neatly detailed (especially objects and the interiors of public houses). The client and entire handling is a lot better than EQ2, for instance. If I had to decide today I would subscribe ...

Anyone can sign up for the open beta. I got an aco**** just putting in my real (European) name and address, and I'm downloading the client now. It made the account for me okay, so I'm assuming there won't be a nasty surprise when I start playing . . .

Evenin' fellas.

Came to think of the old UO bunch an hour ago, and been reading the forums until now. :)
The WoW EU release is acually set to "this winter", my guess is early februari (spelling?).

I've been playing the US Open beta, and loving every second of it. Amazing game.
