View Full Version : What race/races would you prefer for the roleplaying guild?

I'm not completely sure how the game will work, but as I understand it you won't be able to play together until you've reached a higher level unless you have the same start location. If that's the case it might be a good idea to restrict the guild to one of these races/combinations. If I'm wrong it would still be interesting to see if people prefer the Horde or the Alliance.
So... what do you think?

It's either Troll or Undead for me. Shanan or Warlock.

I'll most likely play Undead, next choice being Night Elf

I want to see how I can customize a character before I say my verdict. Human is quite sure one from me, but Horde choise depends a lot how I can make them look.

You mean you don't want to play a blue troll with pink hair? :P
I honestly don't get how they came up with some of the skin and hair colours in the game (troll and nightelf), but I'm pretty sure that all races can be made to look good. At least I hope so...

I originally voted Orc/Troll in the poll but since a few of you seems to be set on playing undead characters I’ve been thinking a bit about it and come up with a concept for a character of my own that probably could be a lot of fun to play. It would be a grovelling servant or squire (most likely a rogue) tending to the needs of his powerful master. Of course he would need someone to be that master and preferably someone who doesn’t mind beating him up and treating him like dirt. Anyone interested?

Paxi's pink-dressed mage sounds like a good candidate. :p

Have to say... playing the Beta I disliked all races except Tauren :o
My Tauren Warrior named Snowdrop was a hell of a lot of fun :o

My first choice would be Troll Shaman, my second choice would be Undead Mage, just like in Beta. :) For Alliance, it'd probably Night Elf Druid

Oh yeah i agree with you there swannie Tauren was great fun , I played a tauren warrior called Orf got him to lvl 33 before beta end and i cant say i got tierd of him a singel moment , But even with past good tauren experience i just feel that i must create a Orc shaman }(

Quote: I'm not completely sure how the game will work, but as I understand it you won't be able to play together until you've reached a higher level unless you have the same start location.
Within a faction the higher level is like 10 which can be reached within a day easily. As far as I remember you leave the newbie training ground with 5, advance to a more difficult zone until 10 and then usually are ordered to your capital to meet a trainer and unlock advanced skills.
Newbie and slightly advanced training grounds seem to be separated by zones with higher monsters (like up to level 25) only and an early breakthrough with 10 is possible. Not sure about a few specific quests (rewarded with rare weapons while through most one gains experience, money and/or kind of useless equipment) one would miss then, though.
Personally I am going to start as a dwarven hunter and might occasionally add a career as orcish shaman on another server. Played a tauren druid and although I enjoyed it one really has to get used to the extremely soft voices, movements in slow motion and hippielike lifestyle (May Mother Earth guard your ways ... blah). Not really evil ... *grin*.
