For you people that waits for SWG, i'd say you should try the MMFPS Planetside. Its a very good game if you're into FPS type of games. Its in the Beta stages so you'll need a account on Fileplanet to get it. Or be very luck when applying for beta. Its the same company that makes SWG that have made this, Sony online. :)

The graphics are VERY good for this type of warfare in this scale. Im talk about +2000 people on one server battling on 5 islands, with hundres of towns. You can be a hacker, engineer or just the old good marine. Along with tons of weapons, CARS!! :o , PLANES :o and other kewl things. :7

Think ill go work on my Commander level now, then i can stand and shout at n00bs }(

Yup, I second that.

If you enjoy online FPS's such as Counter-strike, BF1942 or Tribes then you'll love this.

The other day I was involved in a 2 hours battle for control of a bridge, roughly 30 people on each side going at it with more people coming and going as the frontlines shifted back and forth.

The game does have RPG content, as you gain battle and command experience you gain certification points to spend on skills, these skills allow use of different weapons or vehicles. If you end up spending the points on something and deciding you don't like you can "forget" it and release the spent skill points to spend on something else but the process takes 24hours so you can't constantly change skills. This is good as it means that teamwork is needed for success, one person cannot do everything themselves by swapping between char types.
